The final day of Peach Festival will be magical for the young and the young at heart.

The A&W Kiddies Day headliner is renowned ventriloquist Norma McKnight.

"Hands down, the best ventriloquist I've seen," raved famed Canadian comedian Martin Short about McKnight.

Keeping with the Peach Festival's theme of free fun, A&W Kiddies Day will have plenty of free activities.

"Thanks to our sponsors we can host a great event that everyone can afford to attend," said Peach Festival director Bev Tiel. "We're thrilled to have Norma McKnight and her friends at Kiddies Day."

It all kicks off with the Kiddies Day parade, sponsored by Minuteman Press, and is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 12.

Registrations will be accepted at the corner of Main Street and Nanaimo Avenue starting at 10:30 a.m. Judging takes place at 11 a.m.

The parade then goes down Main Street to Okanagan Lake Park. At the park, prizes for best decorated entries will be presented in several categories. Then at noon, A&W Kiddies Day gets under way in the park.

Other entertainment in Okanagan Lake Park includes a dog agility show and a reptile petting zoo. Other free activities include a visit with goats, balloon animals, face painting, bouncy castles and an activity table.
