The fun, 16th annual Sheila Bishop Memorial Wood Bat Tournament returns to the Penticton Peach Festival.

Aug. 9 to 11, 2019 at Lions Park.

  • Co-ed tournament
  • Follows all regular slo-pitch rules with the exception of wood bats
  • Wood bats are provided during the tournament by the organizers
  • Each team is guaranteed a minimum of four games

Entry Fees

  • $350 per team

This tournament is held every year in memory of our good friend Sheila Bishop who was an avid slo-pitch player for many years.

This is a FUN tournament with all the proceeds being donated to charity. The weekend will also feature the ever popular home run hitting contest, raffle tables and silent auction. For more information please email Paul Borba at

In 2017, the Sheila Bishop Memorial wood bat tournament co-organizers Vikki and Don Gowan, along with tournament director Paul Borba, presented the donation of $2,700 raised at the tournament to Jodie Lemke for her son Lucas who is battling Cystic Fibrosis. The tournament also donated $2,700 to Bonnie Reilly's son Tyson. Bonnie is currently battling cancer.
