Penticton Peach Festival is thrilled to announce that Kyle McKearney will be the opening act for Tim Horton’s Country Night on Thursday, August 7, 2025, before headliner JoJo Mason takes the stage.

Known for his captivating voice and genre-defying sound, McKearney is set to bring his roots-inspired Americana and alternative country to the Peach Festival’s vibrant lineup.
A rising star on the Canadian music scene, McKearney has earned acclaim for his rich blend of country, blues, rock, and folk. His artistry is deeply shaped by his Métis heritage, which infuses his music with soulful storytelling and gritty instrumentation. With his sophomore album, A Traveler’s Lament (2023), McKearney reached new heights, winning 11 awards from 26 nominations, including the prestigious CCMA Award for Alternative Country Album of the Year. The album also earned recognition as a 2024 GRAMMY Award nominee in the Best Regional Roots Album category.
McKearney has shared the stage with musical legends such as The Black Crowes, Lainey Wilson, and Darius Rucker, performing across Canada, the USA, Europe, and the UK. His latest album, To The River (2024), garnered attention with standout singles like “Broken Hearts Hide,” “Wedding Day,” and “Tomorrow” — the latter featured in the Season 18 finale of Heartland. With a sound that seamlessly blends Americana with sweeping country-rock anthems, McKearney is redefining the country genre with every note.
