Kiddies Day Parade sponsored by  Minuteman Press

Minuteman Press Kiddies’ Day is on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2026.

Registration on-site for the Minuteman Press Kiddies Day Parade is at 11:00 a.m., judging at 11:15 a.m.

Parade starts at 11:30 a.m.

All parade participants will receive some goodies and will be entered to win prizes.

The Minuteman Press Kiddies Day Parade is back again this year and is expected to have more entries than ever before! Children between the ages of 0 and 12 are encouraged to decorate their bikes, wagons or scooters in the wildest and most creative way possible then show off their creations in a one-of-a-kind parade down Main Street. There are amazing prizes for People’s Choice, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place plus the Grand prize of a new bicycle. This is a very special parade and we encourage you not to miss it. Bring your cameras!

Registration on-site takes place at  11:00 a.m. at Nanaimo Square – corner of Main Street and Nanaimo Avenue West (near the water fountain). Judging will start at 11:15 a.m. and the parade begins at 11:30 a.m.

Prizes awarded for People’s Choice, first, second and third place.

  1. No Motorized Vehicles
  2. Helmets must be worn while riding bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, etc.
  3. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of entrant must be present during and after the Minuteman Press Kiddies Day Parade
  4. No food or glass bottled drinks during the Minuteman Press Kiddies Day Parade

Registration will take place at 11:00 a.m. and judging begins at 11:15 a.m. at Nanaimo Square – corner of Main Street and Nanaimo Ave West (near the water fountain). At 11:30 a.m., the RCMP and a Penticton Fire Department truck will lead the participants north on Main Street, east on Lakeshore Drive and into Okanagan Lake Park through the Centennial Plaza entrance. Prizes will be awarded at the Peters Bros. Main Stage in Okanagan Lake Park directly after the parade.
