Dawson Gray to Close Out Peach Festival

One of Canada’s fastest-rising country artists, Dawson Gray, will close out the Penticton Peach Festival on Sunday, Aug. 10, headlining Okanagan Rocks Night presented by Kettle Valley Memorial

With his electrifying live performances and standout songwriting, Gray is set to bring the festival to a high-energy finale with his multi-talented band, dubbed “The Bar Staff.”

Hailing from White Rock, B.C., and now living in Kelowna, Gray has rapidly made a name for himself in the Canadian country music scene.

Known for hits like Running Back Home and All She Did, he has racked up over 4.5 million global streams and played 37 sold-out headline shows across Western Canada. Gray has also shared the stage with top country acts, including ERNEST, MacKenzie Porter, and James Barker Band. His singles “The Good Ones” and “All She Did” were featured on ‘New Music Friday” Country Central and Country Pickinz. While “Back To Leaving” and “Friends With The Bar Staff” garnered 1.2 million total streams.

Despite originally pursuing a career in professional baseball, a diagnosed eye disorder led Gray to pick up a guitar during university – an unexpected twist that ignited his passion for music. Since then, he has been unstoppable, releasing over 10 singles in just two years and earning a spot on Front Porch Magazine’s list of Canada’s Top 5 Rising Artists to Watch in 2024.

“Dawson Gray is one of the most exciting young talents in Canadian country music. With his rising success in the country music scene, this is a performance fans won’t want to miss,” said Alysha Forrest, Peach Festival Director of Entertainment.

The Penticton Peach Festival is one of the largest free family festivals in Canada. Featuring live entertainment, a parade, food vendors, and activities for all ages, the festival has become a cherished tradition in the Okanagan region.
