Ben Waters headlines final night of Peach Festival

How is it Sunday already? It is the final day of the Penticton Peach Festival and we kick the day off with the Minuteman Press Kiddies Day Parade followed by Valley First Kiddies Day in Okanagan Lake Park.

Registration for the Minuteman Press Kiddies Parade takes place at 10:30 a.m in Nanaimo Square (corner of Nanaimo Ave. W. and Main Street)., judging at 11:00 a.m. and the parade starts at 11:30 a.m. The kids will head down the Main Street and walk right into Okanagan Lake Park where prizes will be handed out, including a new bike from the Bike Barn and a helmet from the Brain Injury Society. For more information on the Kiddies Parade click here.

Valley First Kiddies Day events start at noon (following the parade) with Leif David, who will showcase his specialty in close-up and stage magic. He is followed by Balance School of Performing Arts (12:45 pm), the Central Okanagan Dog Agility Club (1:30 pm) and the West Coast Lumberjacks (2:30 pm). In addition to live entertainment, the Kiddies Day free fun includes: face painting, a petting zoo, bouncy castles, a waterslide, balloon animals and a lego play table.

The entertainment continues throughout the day leading up to a great final night of music. At 6:15 p.m. we welcome Phonix (presented by Brutus Trucks) to the Peters Bros. Paving main stage. This is a nine-piece band that will bring their heavy-hitting dance grooves with flashy horn lines, energetic instrumental solos and soaring vocals that will have everyone up and dancing.

Bring your appetite when you head to Peach Fest as the smells of all the amazing food trucks will hit you as you walk in the park. There are mini-doughnuts, ice cream, shaved ice, frozen lemonade, poutine, burgers, tacos, donairs and lots of other options!

Ben Waters, the world-renowned boogie boogie piano player who has worked with The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis will close out Peach Festival with us in style. The legendary piano man and his all-star band thrilled a capacity PeachFest crowd in 2019. His set (presented by the Lakeside Resort) starts at 8 p.m. and is not to be missed!

Sunday is an exciting day for us at Peach Festival as the inaugural RPR Heating & Air Conditioning PeachDuro takes place in the fabulous Three Blind Mice trail network. This enduro style event is fun for the whole family and will end with an after-party that includes live music by Desert Arms. For more information click here.

Enjoy the midway rides and games starting at noon as Shooting Star Amusements will be set up in Rotary Park, located a short walk from Okanagan Lake Park.
