Skyhawks set to Dazzle at Peach Festival

The Canadian Armed Forces Parachute Team, the SkyHawks, are set to dazzle spectators once again at the Penticton Peach Festival.

Sponsored by Peters Bros Paving, the SkyHawks will make their spectacular jump into Okanagan Lake Park on the festival’s opening day, Wednesday, Aug. 7, at 6 p.m. This will be followed by an autograph session. Peach Festival attendees are asked to please stay behind the orange safety pylons prior to the show that will be set around the park and to not move onto the field until notified that they can do so after the Skyhawks performance.

Elizabeth Marion, chairperson of the air show committee, expressed excitement about the SkyHawks’ return to the festival, noting the thrill they bring to the event.

For over 50 years, the SkyHawks have represented Canada and the Canadian Armed Forces, performing for more than 75 million spectators worldwide with their signature Canadian flag parachutes. Each year, the team is made up of active and reserve members from across Canada. Selected early in the year, these members undergo rigorous training to achieve the highest levels of professionalism and proficiency, allowing them to execute complex parachute maneuvers safely.

Don’t miss this exhilarating display at the Penticton Peach Festival!
