Black Widow Rope Spinners Weave Their Magic at Peach Festival

Celebrating their 20th anniversary as a competitive jump rope team, the Black Widow Rope Spinners will return to the Peach Festival line-up.

Ranging in ages from eight to 67 years old, the competitive jumpers are excited to promote the sport of jump rope.

“We are happy to have some out of town jumpers join our team of 25 this year at Peach Festival. We are looking forward to showcasing the team’s amazing skills of speed, power, multiples and gymnastics in both the single rope and double dutch ropes,” said Cathy Cunningham, Black Widow Rope Spinners coach.

Cheer on the youngest jumpers who will be making their first appearance at Peach Festival as well as the B.C. All-Star Team and senior jumpers who will perform their competition routines. Having performed at Peach Festival for over 10 years, every Black Widow Rope Spinners show is different throughout the five day festival.

Watch them on the Peters Bros. Paving main stage Thursday (1 p.m.), Friday (7:30 p.m.), Saturday (2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.) and Sunday (12:15 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.). You can also catch them at the Home Hardware Kids Zone.
